1. Make a Game Plan: I am a planner by nature and so I try my best to plan out my meals. A full day of travel means lots of airport/ train station time and not much in the way of 'healthy' eating. There are always work arounds (a salad at a sammie shop, a pack of nuts from a convenience store ) but I try to pack a snack or two just in case I can't find any of those natural healthy options.
2. Brown Bag it: I pack my lunch every day while I'm in the office and so packing more food when I travel is not uncommon for me. Often times I will bake a batch of my Paleo Pumpkin muffins to bring along with a few apples or bananas and some almond butter. It's amazing how many people will comment on your food packing choices. Almond butter can be easily found in individual packets at any Wegmans or Whole Foods stores.
4. Book a room with a fridge/ microwave: This was one of the best tips ever from Caitlin HTP. After reading her blog about her frequent travel for work, I too now request a room with a fridge so I can stop by the nearest Trader Joes' or Whole Foods for a quick breakfast or snack option.
Announcement: I am so excited to announce that I will be hosting a viewing party for OZ The Great and Powerful for any Philly area bloggers or readers! Please join me and some Philly Phriends next Saturday (March 16th) at the UA King of Prussia Stadium. We will be seeing the afternoon showing (right now its looking like 2:00 PM) and afterwards we can grab some fro-yo or coffee for a blogger meet up.
Please feel free to message me with any questions about the event and I hope to see you there!!
